MALLET X FREDI

MALLET X FREDI

In memory of Fredi Hilton.

Fredi Hilton was a patient at the Great Ormond Street Hospital who suffered from cystic fibrosis. Fredi had dreamt about becoming a footwear designer just like Mallet’s owner, Tommy. So earlier this year, Rays of Sunshine children’s charity teamed up with Great Ormond Street and Mallet to make Fredi’s wish come true.

Rays of Sunshine children's charity was formed in 2003 to brighten the lives of children between the ages of 3-18 who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses across the United Kingdom. They believe that every child deserves to experience happiness and to put their illness on hold – even if it is just for one day. Their vision is to make wishes come true and turn them into happy memories.

Fredi and Tommy worked together on designing a one-off shoe in early 2019. In memory of Fredi Hilton passing in May 2019, the trainer designed by them both will be released as a limited edition silhouette for AW19.

All proceeds from the sale of this extra special shoe will go to Ray of Sunshine children’s charity, as chosen by Fredi.

The silhouette will be released on the 4th October 2019
